Mitchell's Baptism

Mitchell was baptized at Dad and Patty's church in Colorado Springs. Nicole and Dom are his godparents. We had a great day celebrating Mitchell's baptism and spending the day with family. We are truely blessed!

Mitchell's First Cereal

Mitchell is in a research study where he can only eat the meals provided plus any fruits and vegetables we give him. He was assigned to the Gerber cereal group, a cereal that is fortified with both iron and zinc. The study is comparing levels of iron and zinc absorbed from different fortified cereals to meats (particulary beef). The study started when he was 5 months old, so we decided to give solids a try. As you can see, Mitchell's face is pretty clean. He loves solid food! He gobbled everything up so quick and hardly let a drop fall. I hope Mitchell is our good eater, but then again, everyone is a better eater than Aiden!

Trick or Treat!

Aiden had a great time trick or treating. Aiden, Aunt Nicole, mommy and Mitchell all started out trick or treating while daddy and Uncle Dom handed out candy. Aiden did a great job going house to house, saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" after he got some candy. One house we went to had a women dressed and a mummy and a man as a scary monster. Aiden said he was scared and I told him they would not scare him. We went up to the house and the monster stood up and took Aiden's sword really slowly. With wide eyes, Aiden told him, "Hi". He kept making slow movements then Aiden said, "Happy Halloween". The guy chuckled and gave Aiden back his sword. It did not phase him one bit! We went to all the houses giving out candy on our block. Halfway through we switched roles, so daddy and Uncle Dom were trick or treating with Aiden. By the end, Aiden was dragging his feet, so they came home. We ended the night going to my cousin Christina's house to trick or treat. It was a great day and everyone slept great.

Playing in the snow

After a long day at Boo at the Zoo, we decided to go outside and build a snowman. It was truly a group effort and everyone contributed. The snowman had four sections, windshield wiper arms, a carrot nose, rock eyes and a tootsie pop pipe. We also gave him a hat and scarf to keep him warm. Unfortunately, some people decided to mess with our snowman last night and the sun helped melt him today, so he lost his head.

Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo! We had a great time - the weather was perfect and the kids were adorable! Grammy, Pappy, Uncle Dom, Aunt Nicole, Aunt Lauren and cousin Haleigh all joined us for a great day trick or treating at the zoo.
Haleigh had a great costume - she was a tube of Crest toothpaste and she had a toothbrush. I have never seen anyone as excited about a costume as the group at the Dental Hygiene Society. I think she had a comment every two minutes about how awesome her costume was. Aiden was a pirate. Aunt Nicole and Uncle Dom bought him his hat at the Renaissance Festival this year. Mitchell was an astronaut. We got to the zoo at opening and we did not leave until 1:30. Aiden and Haleigh got lots of candy and we all enjoyed getting out, enjoying the animals and spending time with family.
