Painting!

Aiden has been enjoying crafts time. We decided to try painting because the weather was just right and I figured it would be fun! Aiden spent most of the time playing with the water and mixing the paint colors. Very little paint was on the paper at the end (and very little paint was on his clothes thanks to the smock Nana made), but it was still a great time. Unfortunately, he broke all the paints, so we may need to try fingerpaints next time. And the next masterpiece will make the wall - this one tore because it was soaked!

Mountains!

We have been trying to get out more as a family. Lately we have been going out on hikes and taking the boys. We have been having so much fun. These pictures are from Pike National Forest, behind Black Hawk. We went up to look for a camping place. We never found a good place to camp, but we had a great time walking around.

We have also been going to our local parks and walking around and hiking. The double stroller has been helpful, but we have also been putting the kids in the packs and walking with them. The added weight has been great for our workouts! This is one of the reasons we love where we live - the access to great trails and the beautiful views. Some of these places are less than a five minute drive from our house.

Tummy Time

Mitchell is growing so fast. His neck is so strong and he can hold his head up pretty well. And he is about 2.5 months! He is not a fan of tummy time, but he suffers for about ten minute stretches a couple times a day.

Swimming!

Last Friday we went up to Pappy, Grammy, and Aunt Ilona's condo to go swimming. The condo was getting a makeover with new paint and some decorative touches. Grammy, Aunt Ilona, Oma Borish, and Haleigh all took a break to go swimming with us. It was Mitchell's first time in the swimming pool and he slept for most of the time in his little crab. Aiden was a little fish and loved to swim with Haleigh and Grammy - but he did not want to be close to the pool light! Aiden and I took a trip to the hot tub and relaxed for a bit. Aiden was not ready to go when the day was done, but we will make a trip again! Aiden still blesses the swim pool, Aunt Lona, Haleigh Halo, and Grammy every night during prayers!

Mitchell loves baths!

Mitchell loves to take baths. It comforts him when nothing else does. I love the smell of a clean baby!
