Playin'

Aiden's favorite toys are his cars. He will sit and play with his cars for hours. And they are pretty beat up since he likes to ram them together and go through crashes. This makes Asa just cringe because Asa likes to buy him classic cars and teach Aiden all about them. Maybe one day Aiden will share the same appreciation for classic cars like his daddy.

Mitchells Growing Too Fast!

Mitchell had his 4-month well baby appointment today. He is 14 lbs, 1 oz and 26 3/4 inches long. Long and skinny guy. His length is in the 95th percentile and his weight is in the 30th percentile. I cannot remember the number for head circumferance, but it was in the 10th percentile. He got all his shots and did really well. Aiden did really great at the appointment. He even impressed the doctor with his cool outfit. I think she was the only one that really appreciated it! Great day and great appointment. I can't believe how fast time is going and how quickly Mitchell is growing up!

A rare moment

Asa loved to have Aiden sleep on his chest when he was a newborn, but Mitchell has not been very interested in napping with his daddy like that. When Mitchell decided to take a nap on my chest one day, we knew it was a rare and special moment! Asa was so jealous that I got that moment! Thankfully the flash did not wake him and I got to enjoy holding my baby while he slept so peacefully.

Mitchell loves his Bumbo!

Aunt Annie and Uncle Derrick were kind enough to let us use their Bumbo and Mitchell has fallen in love. He loves to sit in his chair and just smile and giggle. His toes are particularly ticklish.

Watching movies at Pappy and Grammy's house

We go down and visit my dad and Patty about once a month when Asa has to spend the weekend with the National Guard at Fort Carson. Aiden loves his time to go and visit his Pappy. He likes to see Grammy too. But he is definitly Pappy's boy! Aiden loves to see the doggies, Belle, Cleo and Charlie, he just does not like having them come to him. We get to watch lots of movies while we visit and Aiden likes to sit on top of the couch. Mitchell loves to sit in Pappy's recliner.

Our visit this month, Aiden helped Pappy pick corn out of the garden. I was too slow with the camera to get any good pictures. We also went to the Race for the Cure on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday it rained like crazy and thankfully we had extra hands since we didn't bring the stroller. Aunt Lauren and Haleigh carried Mitchell and Pappy and I switched between carrying a puppy and Aiden. Lucky for me, Pappy carried Aiden for the most part! He is a big boy! We always have a great time on our visits. Grammy and Pappy are not looking forward to the day when Asa decides to leave the Guard and we don't have our usual visits.

Bath Time!

Mitchell LOVES bathtime! He calms down as soon as he hits the water. He is really into splashing right now, so we need to clean the counter off everytime. But it is worth it! Mitchell is able to hold his head up, so I think we will put Mitchell in the bumbo and have Aiden and Mitchell have their first bath together!
