Aiden and Mitchell are all boy - and love to play with swords (or lightsabers). They are pretty good at it, but the end result is usually someone getting smacked a little too hard. Luckily, neither boy seems to mind this end result (only mommy tends to not like it) and they will play well until Mitchell decides he is done. I love that the boys have each other to play with and that they are both so tough. I think I am the one that is overprotective and wants the boys to play nice. But as Asa always reminds me, Boys will be boys!

Pictures from our year
Sorry I have been MIA. Instead of the daunting task of trying to update, I thought I would share some of my favorite pictures from the second half of the year. Enjoy! My New Year's resolution is to keep up with this blog much better!

Everyone loves cookies and puffs!
I have never met a kid that does not love cookies and puffs! Mitchell is not an exception!

Shade
As the sun is staying out longer and it is getting warmer outside, the boys and I decided to create a way to mkae shade so we could play outside. We set up the tent and put our tube into the tent to create a fun little place to play in the shade. This gave me time to work on the yard and the boys loved being able to play! It was a great solution and was our way to go camping in the backyard during the day!

Easter!
This is the first year the Easter Bunny visited our house. And he came with lots of presents for everyone! He even found out Aunt Nicole and Uncle Dom would be here and had some special things in their basket too! Both Aiden and Mitchell love to play with legos and the chocolate will always be a big hit! Mitchell was not to into the toys, but he LOVED the grass! He took the grass from every basket and put it all over himself and the table. He was having a great time - he was not willing to stop playing so we could get ready.
We spent our traditional Easter at Aunt Shelley's house. The boys and Haleigh had there own small Easter egg hunt, and they still had the other egg hunt for the "kids" (I guess none of us are kids anymore, but we still pretend). It was a great day with good food and great to see all our family and Igo cousins. The only person that was missing was Asa, who had to work. He was greatly missed. We will have to wait for pictures from this part of the day - Dominick took pictures and I keep forgetting to get them from him!

Coloring Easter Eggs
The night before Easter, Nicole and Dom came to spend the night and help the boys color and decorate Easter Eggs! They are so creative. I had a great time watching them as they created. Aiden spilled the color first thing, so he went shirt-less (we should have put on his art smock for this crazy event). They all had a great time!

Heading to the Zoo
We went to the zoo with Nana and Papa while they were here to visit during Spring Break. On our way to the Zoo, the alternator went out on the Tahoe as we got off I-70 at the Colorado Blvd. exit. It was pretty crazy. Thank goodness for AAA and the nice DPD officer that drove Aiden and I to the gas station when he had to go potty (and would not go on the side of the road). Asa stayed behind and fixed the Tahoe after the Tahoe was towed to the Advance Auto parts and he was able to fix it himself. I love having a handyman around the house!.JPG)
Then we were able to enjoy the rest of the day at the zoo! It was a beautiful day and we had a blast. .JPG)
